This privacy policy explains which personal data I process as the operator of this website and as a therapist, for what purpose, and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG).

Principles

I process personal data in good faith, proportionately, and only for the purposes stated at the time of collection or evident from the circumstances. I do not pass personal data to third parties unless it is necessary to deliver the service, you have consented, or I am legally required to do so.

Data collected when you visit the website

When you open this website your browser automatically transmits technical data to the server (server log files): IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. This data serves the secure and stable operation of the website and is not combined with other data sources.

Cookies and consent

This website uses cookies. Technically necessary cookies are required for operation and are set without consent. All other cookies — in particular for statistics and embedded content — are only set after you have agreed in the cookie banner. Statistics and audience measurement

Where used, audience measurement serves only to improve the service. It is activated only after your consent.

Appointment booking

A service from the provider OneDoc is used for online appointment booking. If you make a booking, the data you enter (name, contact details, requested appointment) is processed directly by OneDoc. OneDoc's own privacy terms apply in addition.

Embedded content

Some pages embed content from third parties (e.g. videos, map extracts). This content is only loaded after you have agreed. When it loads, the provider concerned receives your IP address.

Client data

As part of treatment I collect and process health data — intake information, treatment history, contact details. This counts as particularly sensitive personal data and is handled accordingly:

• It is used solely for treatment, billing and legally required documentation.
• I am bound by professional confidentiality.
• Data is passed to health insurers only to the extent needed for billing, and only where you have initiated this.
• Treatment records are retained for the legally required period and deleted thereafter.

Getting in touch

If you contact me by email, phone, WhatsApp or a contact form, your details are stored in order to handle your enquiry. I do not pass this data on without your consent. If you contact me via WhatsApp, that provider's privacy terms apply in addition.

Data security

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is delivered encrypted over HTTPS. Complete protection during transmission over the internet is not possible.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the personal data I process, and to have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to processing and, in certain cases, request that your data be released to you.

To exercise these rights, contact info@ralfing.ch. I may request proof of identity in order to protect your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
